Hometown: South Africa

Position: Freelance writer and editor As a kid, you dreamed of becoming… Bar a phase when I wanted to be a pathologist circa grade four, I've always wanted to be a writer of some sort

Best career advice you’ve received: "Pull all of the levers available to you," which is essentially about the importance of being proactive rather than reactive or waiting for action or opportunities to magically float your way.

Biggest career highlight so far: The best part of being a journalist is getting to talk to all sorts of fascinating people, so those conversations in aggregate are a collective highlight for me.

When not writing for ROOM: I love reading, long walks listening to Taylor Swift, and conducting endless field research to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

Also seen in:  The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, The Kit, among others.
